I didn’t think we would be posting another weather impact notice at this stage of March, the poor Daffodils ! The backlog from the previous weather issues has just about been cleared, and normality resumed, then more snow arrives.
Over the weekend there has been heavy snowfall in many parts of the UK, however, the South and South West of England have been severely impacted.
As of 09:00 today DPD network status is as follows:
Partial Operation means 10-15% of parcels affected
Limited Operation means 15 -40% of parcels affected
Substantial Impact Operation over 40% of parcels affected
Southern Network
Bournemouth – Limited Impact, 1 day delay
Newbury – Limited Impact, 1 day delay
Central and South West
Cornwall – The A30 is closed for 65 miles due to snow and ice and our linehaul vehicles are unable to
get through to Cornwall – Substantial impact 2 days delay
Exeter – The A30 is closed due to ice and the surrounding areas are also impacted with severe
weather – Substantial impact minimum 2 days delay
Builth Wells – Linehaul vehicles are unable to get through to our depot. Substantial impact expected
minimum 1 day delay
Cardiff – Limited impact 1 day delay expected
A number of other depots have isolated issues. Please be aware that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption.
