Traditionally, the bonding of polypropylene to itself has been a tough call for hot melt adhesives, until now!

Tecbond shaped hot melt adhesives have expanded their stable of high performance glue sticks with a new Polyolefin based rage of hot melt adhesives designed specifically for the bonding of Polypropylene (PP) to itself and to other substrates. Tecbond Polyolefin hot melt adhesives are unique offering high molten tack (good instant grab ability) and providing excellent heat resistance and good low temperature resistance .
Tecbond 263-12 – High molten tack (good instant grab ability) and provides excellent heat resistance (105c) and good low temperature resistance (-20c). Excellent for bonding Polypropylene to itself and bonding of Correx corrugated plastic.
Tecbond 267-43 – High performance adhesive formulated for polyolefin plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene. Excellent for bond PP to itself and other substrates. High heat resistance of 100c and good low temperature resistance of -30c.
Tecbond 430-43 – Aggressive adhesive coating for up to 6 minutes, after this the adhesive sets to produce a tough resilient bond. Idea for covering large areas quickly
To maximise bond strength when bonding polypropylene to itself it is important that sufficient adhesive is applied and the surfaces are brought together as quickly as possible. It is strongly recommended that a good quality high output Tec glue gun is used to ensure consistent strong bonds such as the Tec 810-12, Tec 3200 or Tec 6100
For high volume of polypropylene – Tecbond 271-PL specifically developed to bond polyethylene and polypropylene. This adhesive being a bulk grade supplied in small pillows is used in the Nordson bulk tank system
