Application: Customer has been using glue dots and foam frames to secure coins and coin fobs onto display boards for coin collectors.
The challenge: The American owners changed the design of the fob, and Danbury could longer use glue dots due to the recessed back with the new designed fob. Also, the foam frames were simply taking too long to produce and mount.
The solution:
Tec4500B gun (mounted with a timer unit and workstation) and Tecbond 802-PL high quality peelable glue that is completely stain free, it provides a strong bond that can be peeled away when required without damaging the items bonded. A dot of glue is applied to the fob and then place onto the card. Instant bond is created with only light pressure. Application was successfully repeated on wooden display boards. Danbury supplies coin collections across the UK and Europe. Coins will now be secured to the display card for transit, yet removeable by the customer leaving no residue or damage.
